Production Accountant

We are currently seeking a Production Accountant to join our team at ALH Building Systems in Markle, Indiana. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and ensuring accuracy in handling raw materials. The role requires exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, and a strong passion for the construction industry. Compensation is commensurate with experience, ranging from $22 to $28 per hour, with both part-time and full-time positions available.

$22 - $28 hourly

• Confirm incoming inventory
• Actively participate in inventory storage plans
• Count/confirm in-stock inventory for raw materials, manufacturing goods, and all consumables
• Assist purchasing staff by checking upcoming materials needs against current and allocated inventory
• Design and build Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheets as needed
• Create outbound shipping documents and note any back-ordered items
• Manage equipment maintenance spreadsheet and schedule maintenance tasks 
• Schedule and confirm outsourcing maintenance for assets not maintained by in-house staff
• Assist plant manager with procurement of materials

• Manufacturing and Inventory accounting experience
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Sage accounting software a plus
• Customer service oriented and excellent communication skills
• Accuracy, organization skills, and attention to detail are essential
• Experience including other accounting areas desirable
