Job Description Summary:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager leads the AR team with 3-4 direct reports. The manager oversees the full cycle AR process from shipment to invoicing, collections and cash application and the management of the AR aging for MPP. The manager is also responsible for implementing process improvements, optimizing technology, and training and developing the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides daily supervision and support of AR team.
  • Acts as subject matter expert and leads problem-solving for AR issues across MPP.
  • Effectively collaborates with finance and sales teams across MPP to resolve issues.
  • Works with AR team to reduce aged balances and manage customer invoicing at agreed-upon terms. Escalates past dues as necessary.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with customers and internal personnel.
  • Monitors the team's workflow and assists where needed.
  • Reconciles on a daily basis the AR rollforward for sales and collections.
  • Executes implementation plan to centralize all AR team members to become shared services organization across all MPP plants.
  • Manage quarterly surcharge update process.
  • Assists with goals and performance reviews for AR team members.
  • Onboards and trains new hires; continues to develop current team members.
  • Assists with audit requests and all other external reporting on AR.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Prior managerial experience in Accounts Receivable preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, general ledger, and financial reporting systems is required.
  • Experience with Lockbox receipt administration preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management skills with high ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with high standards of personal and professional integrity.
Working Environment and Conditions:
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Non-regular work hours may be required.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • This position is eligible for hybrid work model.
