Job Description

Founded in 2021, Pulsora the “Enterprise Sustainability Platform”, is a well-funded Silicon Valley software startup.  It is dedicated to empowering purpose-driven enterprises to manage and improve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and overall sustainability footprint with an integrated, comprehensive, flexible, and innovative technology platform built for compliance, tracking, and insight. We are well funded, have amazing customers across industries and geographies, established strategic partnerships with leading ERP and consulting firms, and are growing fast!

About the Role
We seek a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations, frameworks, and standards within our SAAS Enterprise Sustainability Platform. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our platform enables our clients to meet their sustainability goals effectively by staying at the forefront of ESG compliance and reporting. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on working closely with engineering, design, pre and post-sales, alliances, and business engagement to drive the development and launch of products and features. You will work closely with the founders and the leadership team to identify and prioritize the enterprise sustainability products and features we should develop and bring to market.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy focused on integrating ESG regulations, frameworks, and standards into our SaaS platform.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving ESG regulations, frameworks, and standards at the global, regional, and industry levels, and ensure that our platform remains compliant with relevant requirements.

  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of ESG frameworks, regulatory trends, and best practices related to ESG and sustainability, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives through blog posts, webinars, and industry events.

  • Client Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert on ESG regulations and standards, providing guidance and support to clients during onboarding, training, and ongoing usage of the platform.

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements and understand the needs of various user groups related to ESG compliance and reporting.

  • Feature Prioritization: Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.

  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and updates.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging ESG regulations, frameworks, and standards, as well as assess competitor offerings and industry trends.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of ESG-related features and initiatives, and use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer success, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for ESG-related initiatives.

  • Work with cross-functional teams like engineering, design, and operations, in India and other countries, across multiple timezones to drive the development and launch of products.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance, environmental science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven track record (5 years+) of product management, strategy consulting, or ESG & Sustainability Analyst experience, focusing on sustainability, ESG, regulatory counseling, ESG framework advice or related domains.

  • Deep understanding of ESG regulations, frameworks, and standards, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, EDCI, CSRD, and others.

  • Get hands dirty to solve issues such as maintaining the mapping between different standards

  • A self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities and  works well independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well with ambiguity and last-minute changes.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, meeting specific deadlines utilizing strong organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product plans.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.

  • Experience working with a global team, including the ability and willingness  to work  outside of regular business hours with Pulsora’s offshore team in India.
