Position Summary
As a Product Manager on our Internal Software Development team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and delivery of user-centric tools that empower our architects and staff to excel in their roles. Your keen understanding of architectural processes and your enthusiasm for creating exceptional user experiences will be critical in identifying opportunities, defining product strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring visionary concepts to life.
The successful candidate will:
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a compelling product vision and roadmap that aligns with business goals and enhances enterprise value through improved efficiency, productivity, and culture
Perform continuous discovery together with engineering and design team members, interacting with users on a regular basis to understand them and ensure we are making products that they will use
Leverage your understanding of architectural workflows and processes to gather insights, analyze user needs, and translate them into actionable requirements and features
Champion user-centric design principles, conducting user research, feedback sessions, and usability testing to ensure tools meet the unique needs of architects and other stakeholders
Define product strategies and priorities, balancing short-term goals with long-term vision to drive successful product outcomes
Work closely with development, design, QA, and other relevant teams to ensure successful execution of the product roadmap and timely delivery of high-quality solutions
Create and maintain clear and detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that guide the development process
Regularly communicate project status, progress, and challenges to leadership, stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams
Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented solutions and iterate based on data-driven insights
Collaborate with training teams to ensure seamless user adoption through effective training materials and support mechanisms
Qualifications:
At least five years of experience in product management, preferably within Software Development, A/E/C, or technology-driven industries; candidates with other A/E/C experience only and a desire to move into the technology space could be considered
Demonstrated familiarity with architectural processes, design principles, and an ability to empathize with the needs and challenges of architects
A passion for delivering exceptional user experiences, with a strong background in user-centered design practices and methodologies
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver successful product outcomes
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with an ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals
A proactive, self-motivated, and visionary mindset, capable of driving initiatives from ideation to execution
Creative problem-solving skills, adaptable to changing project requirements, and ability to navigate challenges with resilience
Basic understanding of Software Development concepts and technologies to facilitate effective communication with the development team
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Architecture, Computer Science, Business, Design)
