Product Manager – Biotechnology- HPLC Columns

Position Summary:
Sepax Technologies, Inc. seeks a highly motivated and talented individual who can work independently or with a team. The Product Manager – Bio-LC Columns will work closely with Sepax senior management and marketing staff to define, formulate, and execute product and service strategies that will result in sustainable and profitable growth targets of the biological chromatography HPLC columns portfolio. This position under the supervision of the General Manager is based at our headquarter office located in Newark, Delaware.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree required in a science field, e.g., Chemistry or Biochemistry.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience with analytical chromatography LC column consumables, on biological applications (such as Antibody, Protein, Oligonucleotides). Knowledge of separation science or analytical chemistry is a plus.
· Excellent and effective oral and written communications skills, public presentation skills and strong people skills, cross function organizational skills to influence other people and influence direction, strong research and analytical skills to execute actionable and achievable conclusions and decisions.
· Proven product and project management leadership including a clear understanding of the various roles of functional support groups.
· Strong track record of delivering business results.
· Be willing to perform hands-on functions.
· Highly motivated and results-driven, detail-oriented while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
· Able to work independently, to take initiative and exercise astute business judgement to drive performance.
· Travel of approximately 20% of time including international travel.
· Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office software, the intranet and an ERP system for day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the product lifecycle of all aspects of the bio-LC columns.
· Perform high-value customer visits and virtual meetings to generate a clear understanding of their challenges and needs; Interacts with key customers and channel partners to understand problems, obtain feedback on new and existing products and identify solutions.
· Develop customer needs and market requirement specifications into solution, application, product for differentiation opportunities and positioning in existing and adjacent market segments with the product roadmap priorities.
· Synthesize these inputs and ensure product roadmaps, requirements, and business plans are updated for both new and existing products.
· Perform current and emerging competitor evaluation, monitor competitive activities to provide with tools to combat competition.
· Support the development and execution of best-in-class sales, technical support tools and marketing campaigns for existing product lines and new product launches.
· Utilize and maintain the ERP and intranet systems to optimize daily departmental functions.
· Perform general housekeeping maintenance in the office and tidiness in general work areas.
· Observe safety precautions as outlined in safety manuals and training.
