About the Role
We are currently looking for a Product Development Jr. Engineer to develop forgings according to customer specification, ensure process capability of serial production and high customer satisfaction, and create unique selling points (USP) through technical sales and “forward selling”.
Responsibilities

- Documents changes needed and communicated back to project leader and relevant stakeholders
- Works closely with production, die shop, die prep, and billet prep departments
- Support for maintaining updated SAP master data and Job instructions for new products
- Supports department personnel and tasks
- Assist in management duties
- Continuous improvement of work and activities
- Compliance with the corporate mission statement
- Cooperation with other people in spirit of mutual respect
- Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
- Represent the company in professional and respectful manner
- Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
- Project management (internal and international)
- Adherence to 5S principles
- Support Project leader in Development of new products under tight timing constraints.
- Develop a thorough understanding of being product support for technical development of new parts (inquiries), changes and trials under the consideration of part quantity, quality, and costs.
- Develop technical knowledge and start aiding team with technical customer sales and support.
- Assist trials and experiments
- Adherence to federal and local law regulations, internal policies and other applicable rules including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 18001 and ISO 18001 requirements
- Analyzing data to optimize product and process parameters
- Performs all duties deemed necessary by superior
Location & Commitments
- Monday – Friday, Onsite Columbus OH
- Permanent, Full Time, General Shift 8:00 am -4:15 pm (40 hour)
- Overtime, Alternate shifts, and Weekends may be necessary for business needs.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Entry Level No experience required
- SAP, Microsoft Office, Project Management Skills, Metal Forming (Basic knowledge) FEA, 3D, CAD and GD&T, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, self-directed
