Product Data Management Coordinator

Position Summary: 

 

Our Product Data Management Coordinator will coordinate the activities related with the processing of engineering change orders, structure bill of materials, item master entry, and document routing changes between engineering, materials and manufacturing.  This position will be responsible for the data integrity within these functions.  This position will report to our Standards and Compliance Engineering Manager.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Add and update item master entries for all production and service parts.
2. Support manufacturing engineering with item master requests.
3. Maintain active parts list.
4. Create and update Bills of Material (BOM).
5. Create and verify JDE ECO parts lists.
6. Create and update model level sales kits
7. Support accounting with BOM costing and assist in costing items as requested.
8. Create and maintain master parts list.
9. Release drawings to production vault.
10. Prepare information for ECR/ECO review meetings.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, operator's manuals, and assembly instructions.
• Ability to analyze information and processes - identify problems, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Skilled and proficient with the use of personal computers; including standard office software (i.e., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Able to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through planning, execution, and evaluation of business processes.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required; advanced education preferred.
• Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred.

Knowledge of steel manufacturing equipment processes (fabrication and welding) preferred.
