We are seeking a diligent and communicative Data Manager to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones within budgetary constraints. This role will focus on nurturing positive client relationships and the utlization of data. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining project integrity.
Position type: Full-time, non-exempt
Reporting Structure: Reports to Associate Director of Client Services
Work model: The work schedule will follow a 9/80 schedule. Occasional remote work with authorization.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years previous data management experience
- Experience with defining and writing process documentation and configuration management plans
- Experience with hardware and software builds
- Experience with evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system
- Experience with data repositories and collaborative environments , such as SharePoint
- Knowledge of configuration management and data analysis tools
- Ability to maintain and document development status to ensure adherence to policy and planned schedules
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Project
- Knowledge of import and export regulations helpful (ex. ITAR regulations)
- Experience with Windchill PDMLink and TeamCenter
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- A Government-issued Common Access Card (CAC), or ability to acquire one
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Teamwork Cloud
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Experience with hardware and software design reviews
- Experience with the Army or DoD preferred
- Experience with program, project, or product management
- Experience with encryption software helpful
- Proficiency in PDF, CAD and other data types
Responsibilities
- Determines data that needs to be collected and resources to be used.
- Creates, implements, and enforces correct data collection policies and procedures.
- Trains employees on proper data collection methods, tools and equipment.
- Establishes data collection quality standards and ensures they are met.
- Ensures that data management system is operating correctly.
- Troubleshoots for solutions in all data-related problems areas.
- Documents procedures for data management processes.
- Develops methodologies for data collection and evaluation relevant to each project.
- Performs analysis to determine adequacy of data collection and evaluation to each project.
- Ensures data management system is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Evaluates data management system to improve operational procedures.
- Develops and disseminates data catalog reports upon request.
- Performs presentation at meetings.
- Acts as main POC on managed programs.
- Ensures consistent and relevant data is reported to proper individuals on time (weekly, monthly, etc).
- Manages all information requests and coordinates necessary documentation and permissions need to achieve access to documentation, or systems necessary to pursue government contracts.
