What you will do:

As our Manager, HR Data & Insights you will have the opportunity to work across our global locations, divisions, and functions to deliver market research that informs HR strategies across Stryker. You will demonstrate research fundamentals and an ability to communicate findings effectively using compelling storytelling for Global HR and business stakeholders. In this role, you'll manage and analyze the data that informs Stryker's Global HR Strategy by analyzing data from various sources and provide actionable insights that will bring value to HR leadership and the business. You'll work closely with the HR Leadership Team, COE Partners, the HRS team, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop models and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions. You'll be the primary point of contact for HR data and provide consultation and reporting leading to data-driven insights. You'll answer questions on how to effectively use the available tools and monitor the usage of the various analytics tools to measure overall value and identify opportunities.

You will support multiple functions at different levels of the organization with varying levels of data competency and adoption. It is imperative that you have the aptitude to translate data into digestible reports and dashboards, engaging stakeholders by effectively telling the story of the data through derived insights and recommendations, requiring a working knowledge of data architecture concepts and business intelligence tools.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities

  • Act as the primary owner of HR data for the purpose of generating actionable insights

  • Drive increased data literacy and adoption of data-driven insights

  • Develop and deliver analytics across the HR Leadership Team, COE Partners, the HRS team, and other stakeholders, communicating insights through compelling visualizations and storytelling.

  • Utilize internal and external data to appropriately identify our top HR opportunities, develop dashboards (ex. Power BI, Tableau, etc.), and apply automated algorithms and/or statistical modeling on various types of system data.

  • Partner with HR Systems & Reporting team to define, enhance, and track HR metrics, dashboard, and report requirements to deliver results and provide insight to help the organization interpret trends.

  • Use advanced statistics and tools to ensure analytics are valid, meaningful, rigorous, and provide actionable and comprehensive insights.

  • Lead the HR function in partnership with COE’s to help answer strategic questions, make insightful data-driven business decisions, and leverage data to design new initiatives for greater impact

  • Drive data integrity through accountability, process design, training, and technology.

  • Participate in internal and external benchmarking studies and academic reviews to incorporate industry best practices, trends, processes, and products/services into HR practices

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters degree or higher in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and/or data management/analytics related field preferred.

  • Must have 8+ years in analytics related work including interpreting data, analyzing results and preparing findings in business case or similar format

  • 3+ years in HR related field strongly preferred

  • Proficient with business intelligence and analytics platforms (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Workday, PRISM)

  • Must have demonstrated experience managing large data sets, including knowledge of data cleansing, recoding, weighting, linking, and aggregating for analysis

  • I love data”- Must have passion for telling stories through data and advanced capability in manipulating, aggregating, visualizing large data sets to derive intelligent insights.

  • Proven thought-leadership in effectively interpreting and communicating analytical content

  • Highly engaged, organized, self-starter with strong analytic and technical skills coupled with a highly consultative approach.

  • Proven ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

  • $112,800- $239,900salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
