Overview:
The Technical Writer serves a key function on the Bid Builder team by capturing the client’s requirements and outlining their needs with clear, consistent, compelling, and creative content. The role requires the Technical Writer to review a client’s procurement requirements and write scopes of work (SOW), requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotes (RFQ), market research reports, and other overview documentation following the guidelines of The Bid Lab’s process and our clients’ unique procurement requirements. An extreme level of care to detail and the ability to turn around information quickly and efficiently is essential. Responsibilities Include:
- Writing a substantial portion of solicitations for clients
- Developing substantive and cohesive solicitation documentation maintaining compliance with policy
- Reviewing project requests in detail, noting all detail deficiencies for project managers
- Detailing any minimum client requirements to ensure viability of RFP
- Noting any inconsistent or unclear information within documentation received from clients
- Working within a project management timeline for completion
- Ensuring all deadlines are met
- Communicating efficiently with the Bid Builder team
- Drafting compelling content for clients
- Researching solicitation-specific, client-specific, or industry-specific information
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Positive attitude
- Ability to successfully work in remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Deadline-driven work ethic
- Familiarity with RFPs and other types of solicitations is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
