Job Description:
The Technical Writer is responsible for taking complex, technical information and translating it into an easily understandable format for internal and client consumption. Information is gathered from a variety of sources and is comprised of functional and non-functional requirements. This position may communicate with internal and external clients to further refine materials and ensure deliverables are understandable.
Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
The pay range is $100k-$115k/Yr. and the salary offered to a candidate based upon a variety of factors including experience, education, work certifications, and work experience.
***This is a HYBRID role, working IN-OFFICE at our New York office 1-2 days/week depending on project needs. Candidates must be located in NY,NJ,CT for consideration***
Job Details:
- Write and edit original and other writer's technical documents/manuals according to technical specifications.
- Draft text materials to ensure text and illustrations are completed and coordinated per final product requirements.
- Organize technical writing materials to be housed within one platform across multiple products.
- Establish processes for integrating technical writing processes within the development life cycle.
- Communicate status of work and any requirements for additional information to management.
- Help allocate resources to projects and accurately estimates number of hours needed to complete current and future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Arts (BA) degree in business or commensurate experience.
- 4-6 Years previous experience as a technical writer.
- Experience working within content/document management applications
