We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our freelance content team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation for our products and services. You will work closely with subject matter experts to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
We're looking for someone who is either a web developer or has strong expertise in the web development arena.
This is a fully-freelance position. You'll be paid 10 cents per word.
Duties:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts
- Create technically-correct digital content regarding app development, web development, and ADA compliance
- Write clear, concise, and accurate content that is easy for users to understand
- Conduct research to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
- Use Google Docs and other software applications to create and format documents
- Edit and proofread documents for grammar, punctuation, and consistency
- Self manage
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
-Experience in web development is highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with digital marketing principles and best practices
- Ability to research complex technical topics and translate them into user-friendly content
