The Purchasing and Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that materials required for production are procured on time and in the most cost-effective manner. This role demands a strong focus on efficient procurement planning, strategic negotiation with suppliers, and the effective use of procurement software like Acumatica to manage processes and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Efficient Procurement Planning:
- Plan and execute procurement strategies that ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast needs to avoid delays or production downtime.
Cost-Effective Procurement:
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices without compromising on quality.
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement efficiency.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quality standards.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Lead negotiations focusing on favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Software Integration and Optimization:
- Utilize software for effective procurement management, ensuring accurate tracking of orders, costs, and deliveries.
- Leverage software reporting tools to provide insights into procurement performance and opportunities for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with production, finance, planning and operations teams to align procurement activities with company objectives.
- Ensure clear communication regarding material requirements, delivery timelines, and cost objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, with a strong focus on negotiation and cost management.
- Knowledge of procurement practices and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Acumatica or similar procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
