POSITION:Procurement Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Procurement Coordinator
REGION: Americas
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The position reports to the Procurement Coordinator. The daily functions are focused on ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely procurement work processes, administrative support, and professional office environment.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement
- Evaluate material requisitions; obtain competitive quotes from vendors; prepare purchase orders in Oracle; resolve any issues concerning goods received
- Ensuring purchase orders are received by end users and assist Accounting with invoices when needed.
- Liaise with the parent company (Helix), Aberdeen (UK), Asia Pacific region (APAC) and Europe / West Africa region (E/WA) weekly executive report
- Update the vacation calendar as needed and distribute to Helix RS Houston weekly.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and operational department functions as needed to ensure efficient procurement practices.
COMPETENCIES:
- 1-2 years industry/office experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to multi-task and to operate in a fast-paced environment
- This position is required in office with the ability to work remote once a week
