WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data to help our procurement team make informed decisions about purchasing good and services. This role will support the Operations Team with logistics, transportation, distribution, and facilities by enhancing reporting and data visualization with dashboards to impact effective strategic planning and decision-making.

• Collaborate with other analytics teams to design, develop, implement, and maintain dashboards, reports, analytic processes, key performance indicators, and reports for the Procurement team.
• Conduct periodic and consistent analyses to forecast potential inventory issues directly related to Aging product (FEFO) and short ingredients for production needs (WHO)
• Conduct periodic shelf-life extension reviews and execution with QA
• Work directly with QA/R &D for formulation modification/routing
• Disco and innovation management
• Provides budgetary and forecasting information to management and other team members, and prepares cost reports on activities
• Provide cost, quality, and contract analyses
• Research and evaluate vendors to ensure best pricing, quality, and service
• Acquire new vendors, negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, and manage vendor relationships
• Develop procurement strategy based on the organization’s short and long term objectives
• Support product life cycles management and optimal inventory levels at all warehouses.
• Develop, implement, and support processes and tools to improve inventory management and monitoring of inventory control.
• Maintains vendor and supplier performance, and monitors compliance with company policies (Vendor procurement Scorecard system)
• Optimize inventory carrying cost by meeting demand forecasting needs, analyzing movement patterns, performance reporting, and resolving inventory variances.
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders about current stock levels and potential issues.
• Place orders with suppliers to replenish inventory avoiding shortages or excessive surplus.
• Analyze effectiveness of current processes and contribute to solutions.
• Assist in creating and implementing best in-class inventory management practices and ensure consistency across all distribution channels.
• Convert ideas and team requirements into meaningful dashboard designs and data requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or Finance
• 1-5 years procurement experience preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High degree of professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
• Knowledge of procurement methods, procedures, and techniques
• Knowledge of estimating cost
• Experience in forecasting, demand planning and/or statistical analysis
• Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, look-ups, advanced formulas, regressions, etc.).
• Strong ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience successfully managing competing deadlines with strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• WMS or ERP experience (SAP a plus)

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work period
