INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION / HEADQUARTERS
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the IT Supervisor I.
The IT Procurement Analyst processes, monitors, and executes IT Procurement activities across the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The IT Procurement Analyst is responsible for ensuring procurements are processed and managed in accordance with the policies of the Department and meets all requirements and guidance of the State of California, including that of the California Department of Technology (CDT) and the Department of General Services (DGS). The incumbent works directly with DGS and CDT for complex IT procurement and to interpret and implement IT procurement policy. The IT Procurement Analyst serves as a contact and liaison for Department IT purchasing questions providing consultative and expert support throughout all phases of the procurement process. The IT Procurement Analyst serves as a backup Contract Analyst for IT reviewing and assisting in the development of highly technical and specialized IT contracts for DPR. The incumbent independently develops solicitations, contract amendments, and other related contractual documents in accordance with all state and federal requirements. This position requires extensive technical knowledge and skills related to procurement activities, the support and maintenance of DPR program areas, and IT projects.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Eligibility Information
To be appointed you must satisfy one of the following requirements:
