The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst on the Administration team.
The Administration Unit, within the Investment Branch, provides administrative business services for the branch for tasks such as procurement, budgeting, personnel, travel, invoices and special projects. Performs analytical research, interprets data and completes sensitive projects. Partners with Administrative Services, Financial Services, Technology Services and General Counsel.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst independently performs varied and complex technical and analytical tasks associated with the Investments branch procurement, budget, succession plan, executive reporting, administrative business, and board agenda processes, as well as provides general analytical and administrative support.
- Experience working with procurements
- Experience analyzing and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations
- Experience with project management
- Experience exercising a high degree of diplomacy, tact, professionalism, initiative, and independence.
- Knowledge of career services and onboarding best practices
- Knowledge of succession or workforce planning
- Creative problem solver
- Adept at strategic planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Executives or Senior Leadership
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to perform daily job tasks
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems
- Ability to prioritize workload, and ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, independence, and good judgment
Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team to support team, unit, and investment branch goals
Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,208.00 - $85,368.00 per year
