Fine Fettle was given a Notice of Intent to Award a license in Georgia, which allows Fine Fettle to produce low-THC oil for patients to obtain from licensed dispensaries. Our state of the art 118,000 square foot cultivation, processing, and manufacturing facility in Macon-Bibb County is currently under construction and will be an industry standard facility in the country. We also plan to open five dispensaries around Georgia later this year, with the opportunity to build more as patients of Georgia expand.
About the Role:
The Processing Manager is a mission-critical role that requires a proactive, hands-on approach to assist in shaping the culture at Fine Fettle. He/she will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a state-of-the-art cannabis processing facility including the extraction, analytical lab, batching, oil production, edible Production and Flower Processing.
As a core member of the Fine Fettle’s operations team, he/she will work with the leadership to understand production goals and align that schedule to daily operations within the Processing team. The Processing Manager will also be responsible for coaching and developing existing team members, while also training and onboarding new hires. This role will play a key part in identifying areas of improvement within the department and ensuring adherence to all policies and regulations put forth by the state and the company.
He/she will oversee and manage personnel to perform all the tasks necessary to process extraction and production of various formulated products. The Processing Manager helps to oversee and maintain quality control measures to ensure high quality products and carries out all day-to-day tasks.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- All aspects of managing and executing the manufacturing plan to meet specific timelines on a daily, weekly, and monthly horizon.
- Coordinate pre-setup of workstations every day before workers arrive to ensure smooth and immediate transition into work tasks.
- Work with line level employees, Supervisors, and Leads to solicit ideas on how to update/improve processes to be incorporated into SOPs or Work Aids
- Responsible for data collection, tracking to facilitate proper reporting and record keeping.
- Weekly labor and task efficiency reports and forward-looking labor schedules
- Manage extraction process, purification process, formulation process, and analytical testing.
- Daily task management and resolution of day-to-day issues/problems that may arise, pulling in the necessary resources as needed.
- Validations and qualifications of SOPs, equipment, and methods
- Work with Master Scheduler to schedule and expedite all outbound/inbound transfers using efficient and cost-effective route creation.
- Ensure accurate and timely transfer schedule, raw and bulk goods inventory, and data collection to assist with proper review and analysis.
- Create and track the department metrics and KPIs (focusing on safety, quality, and productivity)
- Compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Execute short-term projects as well as long-term vision for the departments.
- Maintain all cGMPs based on set facility standards.
- Conduct quality-based investigations and create CAPAs.
- Assure that the production schedules and manpower requirements are properly met and monitored.
- Ensure processing operation is fully compliant with state regulations and federal and state law.
- Make certain that the operation adheres to all business and industry license requirements.
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used within processing and documents production by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Monitor and manage hard goods inventory and work with the Supply Chain department to ensure adequate supply line.
- Work with the Facility Team to ensure any issues (equipment, environment, etc.) are immediately communicated, in addition to working to coordinate projects (priority, timelines, etc...)
- Develop Supervisors, Leads, and Subject Matter Experts (SME's)

- Proper and safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and
- hazardous wastes
- Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to record keeping procedures.
- Thorough understanding of state and local medical marijuana laws and how they apply to the operations.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team based management practices are implemented.
- Effective time- management and ability to multi-task
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- 5+ years’ experience leading mid-large teams in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience successfully coaching and motivating mid-large teams in CPG manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedure.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to sit, stand and do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. to torso level.
