Reporting to the Continuous Improvement and Training Manager, the Process Engineerwill be a positive, upbeat, "egg loving" person with the ability to relate to a diverse set of people, communicate clearly and appropriately and be approachable yet professional. You will lead the development and improvement of our processes and your success will increase the effectiveness of Operations and our Vital Farms Crew.
What You'll Do:
- The Process Engineer will be responsible for the development and optimization of processes to improve the operational KPI's.
- Contribute to new product/process introduction by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Apply project management skills in planning, budgeting, time management, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Establish, update, and maintain production procedures, maintenance procedures, process/product control, and test data.
- Drive continuous improvement in areas of safety, product quality, product delivery, and product cost utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Facilitate problem solving (root cause analysis) with corrective action through collaboration with Operations & Maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
- Collect and analyze process and production data to identify trends and ensure process stability.
- Drive resolution of customer claims and reduce repeat claims to improve the total customer experience.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt, and/or Lean certification.
- Effective computer skills: MS Office, Statistical software, Power BI
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
