DLTalent has partnered with a medical device manufacturer, who specializes in drug delivery products, to hire a new team member as a Process Engineer II or III. The employer has roots in the Midwest and is currently growing as they prepare to launch new products out of their CA facility later this year.
This is a direct hire opportunity. Below are the salary ranges depending on years of experience.
$115,000 - $120,000 for 3 - 5 years
$125,000 - $135,000 for 5 - 7 years
$140,000 - $160,000 for 10+ years
The Process Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Act as the process owner of packaging lines focus on inhalation drug delivery products.
- Support both new and legacy manufacturing lines, keeping a focus on optimization across both lines.
- Address deviations and CAPAs as needed.
- Work with technicians and operators to support the production line
- Identify and recommend programs within manufacturing which will improve quality, safety and service on automated lines.
- Lead projects related to installation qualifications (IQ) and ensure operational qualifications (OQ) are process qualifications (PQ) are successfully executed.
- Develop process validation protocols and author technical reports.
- Mentor and coach junior level engineers.
Candidates who will find this job both interesting and challenging will have the experience & competencies below:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing is highly preferred, but we are open to candidates who have worked in other high volume regulated manufacturing environments (Aerospace, Semiconductor etc.)
- Experience working in high volume manufacturing is preferred
- 5 -10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with significant knowledge in process improvement
- Small parts handling is preferred
- Working knowledge of Process Validation with a good understanding of Installation Qualification (IQ)
- Experience installing and qualifying equipment
- Experience leading projects, teams or employees
- Mechanical background is required
- Experience with DMAIC and CAPA
- Strong communicator who desires to advance into leadership

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
