Process Engineer
Level: Entry level to mid-level positions available
Location: San Jose, California, USA
The Process Engineer is responsible for contributing to the overall development and engineering of processes and equipment for the manufacturing of our next generation CIGS thin film solar photovoltaic modules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Material Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another applicable field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Experience with semiconductor-related processes and equipment.
- Hands-on experience with process and equipment engineering/development for the manufacturing of CuInGaSe2 (CIGS) thin film photovoltaic modules.
- Experience working with material and device characterization techniques for thin film materials and devices (e.g. SEM, XRD, I-V measurements, and more).
- Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to approach challenging projects innovatively and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, monitor, and/or execute process development projects.
- Collect, summarize, and analyze data, observations, and findings from process development projects.
- Plan and execute data-driven experiments.
- Fully exercise specialized expertise and best technical judgment to provide high-impact contributions including meeting technical milestones and delivering high-efficiency solar cells.
- Support equipment, hardware, and device design, development, engineering, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance.
- Develop and execute process control plans.
- Comply with our safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
