Job Description
The position of Process and SOP Specialist is a newly formed role that will play a critical role in refining our processes; formally documenting best practice SOPs; enhancing onboarding, cross-training and cross-education; driving transparency and visibility to key drivers; and effectuating overall improvements throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop optimized workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information on existing processes and procedures.
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for all identified processes and SOPs.
- Train employees on newly implemented processes and SOPs and provide ongoing support to ensure their understanding and adoption.
- Regularly review and update existing processes and SOPs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for further optimization
- Assist in the development and implementation of process management tools and software.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean methodologies in the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process analysis, process mapping, and SOP development, preferably in a similar industry.
- Experience in implementing and promoting lean, continuous improvement, and Kaizen principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to create accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Familiarity with process mapping tools and software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Strong understanding of quality control and equipment maintenance; understanding the challenges associated with handling perishable products a plus.
Strong preference for candidates in the Tucson, AZ or Cincinnati metro area.
