Process Analyst - Pre Production Management (Supporting Engineering Change)
The Process Analyst will be a vital role with expertise material movements supporting engineering change management (Running Change Parts) from warehouse to lineside implementation. Key attributes for success are securing our (Safety, Quality Delivery, and Cost) targets.
The Process Analyst shall be responsible for all current model running change management activity over the assigned area. The analyst will provide reporting and data analysis to support smooth implementation of engineering changes into production from parts logistics flows to lineside implementation. Applicable to Daily Work:
  • 5S Basics - Can recognize, act, and maintain perfect 5S.

Ability to understand internal vehicle flow starting from Body start process to its to the day to day to secure our customer delivery.
Specific tasks include:
Fundamental to PPM team (Pre Production Management)
  • Factory Complete (both physically and systematically).
  • Ability to create and analyze work instructions providing feedback to PPM Specialist for improvements.
  • WES - Creation with clear instruction, no misinterpretation highlighting critical criteria.
  • Can create training documentation, explain/teach, and verify TM retention.
  • Ability to truly problem solve identifying root cause and sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to understand part flows and systems that drive material flow changing from old to new part levels based on engineering instructions.
  • Understanding of the VCCH organization & workflow between organizations: Prod, SCC, Order Mgmt, and Shop Engineering.

Process Analyst Specific Skills Applied in Daily Work:
  • Fact gathering/data collection to support specialist with decision making (delayed body, downtime, coordination for decision making on plant conditions).
  • Support visual management of production status through key daily reports and analysis for risks.
  • Submission, tracking, and follow up on open running change parts.
  • Monitoring of dashboards and Tclient/Chimas to ensure clear communication with shops about parts changes to maintain seamless part transition.
  • Data entry and verification for all Volvo reporting tools.
  • Ability to create & summarize activity to communicate status of area / clearly provide data on areas that need support in a timely manner.
  • High Hurts (safety, quality, operational availability) identification & prioritization.
  • Leading cross functional teams, i.e. Engineering, material handling, and production.
  • Ability to produce transparent documentation.
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer systems (commercial applications and Volvo applications)

Systems Skills Preferred:
  • BMS (researching best practices, VCMS)
  • CHIMAS (Parts Inventory Research)
  • CMP
  • Container Tool
  • TClient
  • VIRA (system usage and quality of information entered)
  • ATACQ (Data gathering and analysis)
  • SharePoint
  • Power BI
  • Ability to go and see A, B, and C shops (climbing stairs, walking, etc.)

System Skills Required:
  • Microsoft Office - Advanced user

Education and Experience requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • One (1) Year directly related experience in manufacturing.
  • Must meet physical requirements such as lifting and moving up to 33lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling.

Other Duties:
  • This position may be required to work other shifts once VCCH implements additional shifts.
