Responsibilities
This Speech Therapist will be responsible for planning and implementing treatment based on goals provided as well as documentation for services and parent education. No two children are the same and therapists will need to use their expertise and creativity to connect with their clients, implementing a variety of approaches to find the "just right" therapeutic fit for your clients. Our therapy style is primarily play-based in a one-on-one setting. Therapists will need to be self-driven, organized, a quick learner, and capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities at one time while providing high-touch service to clients, families and caregivers.
The Lead PRN Speech Therapist would be responsible for providing coverage and support when the primary therapists are unavailable due to various reasons, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining service levels. As the Lead PRN Therapist, you will receive priority in coverage scheduling.

Requirements
- Applicants should have 2+ years of relevant pediatric experience;
- Kansas Speech Language Pathologist License must be valid before May 1, 2024;
- A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university; and
- A personal professional liability policy
Availability
The position begins on June 3 and runs through July 26 (8 weeks). The start date may be adjusted earlier base on therapist availability and preference. The end date may be extended at the discretion of Playabilities and the therapist's availability.
Therapists are required to have set availability and be on stand-by for at least 30 hours/week for 7 weeks or more.
Hours are Monday-Friday, with appointments needing coverage between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM daily. The schedule can adjust daily.
All new therapists will be required to attend New Hire Orientation on Saturday, June 1st.
Compensation
This position is paid $47 per billable hour of therapy. A bonus will be available for hitting specific hourly thresholds.
