Job description

We are looking for an exceptional Private Chefto join our team and cater to the culinary needs of a high-net-worth individual. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing gourmet meals, be familiar with a variety of cuisines, and have an understanding of the specific needs and preferences associated with serving discerning clients. The Chef will perform a variety or errands including personalized grocery shopping, and occasional travel will be required. The Chef will plan and execute all aspects of household events at multiple estates, with the primary residence in Orlando, FL, ranging from intimate family dinners to large-scale gatherings, ensuring a memorable and high-quality dining experience for the family and their guests.

Responsibilities:

Preparation & Planning

  • Prepare daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasional snacks.
  • Work with the principal or household manager to understand dietary restrictions, preferences, and culinary desires.
  • Create varied and nutritionally balanced menus on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Cater for parties, special events, and guests as required.

Ingredient Sourcing & Management

  • Shop for fresh, organic, and high-quality ingredients, ensuring that all produce and products meet the highest standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring all items are well-stocked and fresh.
  • Establish relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and quality deliveries.

Kitchen Management

  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
  • Regularly service and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Stay updated on the latest culinary techniques, equipment, and trends.
  • Special Dietary Needs
  • Cater to any specific dietary restrictions, allergies, or health requirements.
  • Ensure meals are prepared in a safe and contaminant-free manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest nutritional information and adjust meal plans accordingly.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other household staff (e.g., household manager, butlers, and housekeepers) to ensure smooth operations and high levels of service.
  • Train and supervise any sous chefs or kitchen assistants as required.

Discretion & Professionalism

  • Maintain utmost confidentiality about the principal, guests, and any related personal or professional matters.
  • Ensure all interactions are conducted with respect, integrity, and discretion.

Shopping & Event Management

  • Perform a variety or errands including personalized grocery shopping.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of household events, ranging from intimate family dinners to large-scale gatherings

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a chef in a private household, luxury hotel, or high-end restaurant.
  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent training from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and traveling as needed.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a thorough background check.
