Aldon Exp is must Coordinates OS version upgrades, software fixes, and preventative maintenance to minimize risk and service disruptions Performs installation, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and administration of iSeries/AS400 operating systems and hardware Resolves issues and implements projects at an advanced technical level regarding iSeries/DB2 as it is connected to by other Databases Works to ensure user satisfaction by providing installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex problems Resolves availability, capacity, and performance issues Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency Monitor MIMIX audits and resolve issues as needed Perform scheduled role-swap test using MIMIX Acts as a liaison between internal and external user communities Collaborates with application support staff and DBAs to ensure external databases can connect to the DB2 database. Create Aldon audit reports as requested by the auditing team Collaborates with application support staff to perform Aldondeployments to non-production environments Collaborates with application support staff to perform Aldon application deployments to production environment with approved Change Requests Perform quarterly USPS database (PerZip) updates Perform iSeries technical support and expertise to resolve issues (e.g. printers, devices, backups, etc) Collaborate with different teams to analyze and resolve issues with the agents installed on the iSeries LPARs May act as team leader on projects Provides after-hours and weekend support as needed Create SOP’s as needed
