Jr. Sous Chef Responsibilities:
The Jr. Sous Chef is a key part of the culinary leadership team driving excellence at Little Palm Island.
As Jr. Sous Chef, you will assist both the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in developing and supervising the team, consisting of 10-12 local and international line-level culinary associates (for whom employee housing is available).
You will assist our culinary leadership team in maintaining the culture and vision of the culinary program. Beyond that, you let your creative juices flow contributing to specials, seasonal menus, Island buy-outs, and Chef's Tables in our state of the art, no expense spared, kitchen.
What it Takes to be the successful Jr. Sous Chef:
To be successful in the role as Jr. Sous Chef, you bring experience leading a culinary team in a Fine Dining restaurant or luxury, boutique hotel with a top-notch exclusive restaurant.
Other experience such as a degree from an accredited culinary institute will be highly regarded.
Naturally, you have the drive to exceed expectations for this iconic location. This will come with your innate ability to handle the ups, downs and sometimes long hours of a world class kitchen and the leadership skills to develop and inspire a culinary team.
