• Extensive experience in leading and delivering complex, large-scale projects and initiatives in enterprise environments.
• Prior experience in communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, conflict resolution including executive level stakeholders, customers and internal facing teams.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

Amazon Business is looking for an exceptionally skilled and visionary Principal Solutions Architect to lead our strategic advancement in the field of B2B digital commerce and e-procurement. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise, high-level strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will drive innovative solutions at scale, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies and integration protocols to redefine e-commerce for enterprise-level clients.
As a Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Business, you will play a pivotal role in driving advanced technical integrations for our key customers and partners, while also fostering collaboration across the broader Amazon ecosystem. Your responsibilities involve leading integrations from technical discovery and scoping to implementation and post-production support. This role requires close coordination with internal teams, including Business Development, Professional Services, Sales, Product, and Engineering, to strategically manage new product integrations and launches.
In addition to developing and executing operational process improvements and managing ongoing integrations, your role will extend to engaging with various Amazonian teams and initiatives. This pan-Amazonian involvement will be crucial in harnessing insights, expertise, and innovations from across the company to deliver comprehensive solutions that address the complex business challenges of Amazon Business’s largest customers and partners.
As an influential leader and skilled negotiator, you will balance technical and functional requirements, designing and implementing sophisticated technical integration solutions. Your vision and leadership will not only set the standard for excellence in Amazon Business’s service offerings but also contribute to the broader strategic objectives of Amazon as a whole, ensuring alignment and synergy across different divisions and initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
Architect and implement advanced cloud solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and integration protocols like REST API, EDI, cXML, XML, xCBL, OAG XML, and EDIFACT, to optimize complex Procure to Pay (P2P) processes.
Provide visionary leadership to the global Solutions Architecture team, developing large-scale, bespoke integration solutions for a diverse array of businesses and verticals, including top-tier enterprise clients.
Strategically drive the adoption, development, and enhancement of Amazon Business products and features, ensuring alignment with evolving market trends and customer needs.
Act as a senior technical advisor and strategic partner to C-level executives within customer organizations, effectively navigating complex solution landscapes and influencing long-term technology strategies.
Identify and navigate risks in high-stakes solution designs, balancing trade-offs to achieve strategic objectives while maintaining scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
Lead the charge in thought leadership within the e-procurement and B2B commerce industry, driving innovation through the development of best practices, whitepapers, and public speaking engagements.
Proactively address gaps in Amazon Business's product suite, anticipating and shaping future market needs and customer requirements, and guiding product development.
Engage in high-level strategic planning and decision-making within the organization, identifying opportunities for growth and guiding the direction of technology development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
