What you will be doing
We have an opening for a Principal Engineer, Digital Analytics.
You will be responsible for close collaboration with Program Managers, Product Managers, Developers, Stakeholders to ensure expectations are met by ensuring quality and optimized deliverables on-time.
The position will be based out of our Pleasanton, CA or Plano, TX corporate office.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare and present potential technical designs and solutions for Data pipelines and DataOps in GCP and Azure cloud environments.
- Work with developers, business analysts and SMEs to produce integrated end-to-end solution options.
- Develop process optimization using operational metrics.
- Communicate solution approaches and collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, business and project teams to understand business requirements and strategies, ensure completeness of requirements and create suitable software architectures to support those needs.
- Implement and manage Data solutions rollout processes for code, tools and related artifacts through all applicable Environments.
- Analyze and mitigate risk pertaining to solution delivery timelines, quality, stability, and performance.
- Engage with Data Product Owners, Delivery leads, and Product Teams for detailed planning and ensuring requirements are properly captured and tracked through the Build & Release life cycle for Data Products and supporting Cloud/Infrastructure environments.
- Optimize data operational processes to continuously improve for early detection of issues/challenges in Data Solution lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership (including code guidance), coach and mentor team members.

CA/CO/WA
The salary range is $182,400 to $247,800. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.
What we are searching for
- Bachelor's or Master's in computer engineering, computer science or related area.
- 15-years of prior relevant experience and with the following:
- Adobe Analytics implementation with hands on experience on the tag management tools like Tealium, Launch etc.
- Implementing front-end technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Cloud Platform - one or more Public Clouds (Azure / AWS / GCP).
- Developing and maintaining build platforms, packaging, deployment, testing, and releases.
- Managing source code, change control, configuration management, and build deployment activities.
- Microservices, Web Services, Web Applications.
- Experience in performance management (APM) tools, Query Performance analysis.
- ETL, Big data platform (ADLS / Data Bricks / AI / ML / Synapse / DBT).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to create clear requirements, specifications, and documentation for data systems.
