AppFolio is seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to join our Pricing and Packaging Strategy team. This role will be responsible for developing, executing, and socializing our pricing strategies and helping us to make thoughtful monetization decisions across our product suite. This role provides a unique opportunity to maximize monetization and optimize value for AppFolio at a key juncture for the company. The Pricing Manager will join a small and collaborative team focused on data-driven decision making, execution, and driving positive change for our customers and our company.
ResponsibilitiesTransform the future trajectory of our business by executing key packaging and pricing decisions
Work closely with the Product and Services organizations to identify customer needs and the right strategy to deliver and monetize value
Generate, analyze, and communicate qualitative and quantitative pricing insights and develop recommendations to present to executive leadership
Model new pricing scenarios and quantify impact on revenue and profitability
Craft compelling narratives from your pricing analysis to influence strategy across stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally to implement new pricing governance, policy, and strategies
Continuously monitor market trends and competitive intelligence
Iterate and execute on our 3-year pricing strategy and roadmap, and play an integral role in crafting our long-term approach to pricing
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in SaaS or software pricing strategy, management consulting, or product management
Strong Excel data analysis skills
Strategic and creative mindset; willing and able to craft new approaches to solve problems
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Experience successfully influencing stakeholders and proven track record of driving impact through pricing initiatives
Ability to independently drive projects
Intellectual nimbleness - the ability to jump from the macro-level strategy to micro-level details and back
Rigor - strong attention to detail, thoroughness in research and strategies
Nice to Have
Formal training or certification in pricing
SQL, Python, or R data analysis capabilities
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $108,000 - $162,000.
The actual base salary for this role may vary greatly to account for the wide range of skills, experience, and qualifications that candidates may possess at this level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary expectations during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
