Pay Range: $55,000 annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers comprehensive regional programming for prevention services, supervises a professional staff performing selective community empowerment functions, manages a program budget and works with corporate level management concerning the plans, budget and prevention programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops implements regional strategic plans by identifying and addressing state and local needs
- Formulates and implements prevention policies and procedures
- Engages with the community to for purposes that include collaboration, planning, and intervention implementation related to strategic plan goals and strategies
- Has ongoing communication with Division of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities, appropriate Corporate and Board personnel, prevention and clinical staff community leaders.
- Develops and manages the prevention budget, implements and monitors the budget
- Pursues and prepares grant proposals and/or written reports as needed/requested.
- Pursues and negotiates contracts with potential prevention funding sources.
- Manages and evaluates ongoing regional prevention program.
- Provides the leadership for community mobilization efforts that include the involvement of other groups, agencies and organizations interested in prevention.
- Supervises daily activities of the prevention staff and assures the provision of services identified within the scope of work set forth by the Division of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities.
- Analyzes data from needs assessment and evaluation procedures conducted by staff and community members throughout the year.
- Revises prevention strategies as needed.
- Engage in statewide activities designed to support the prevention program development.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct supervision for five (5) Regional Prevention Center Staff.
- Qualifications:
- Be certified an International Certified Prevention Specialist and have a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of work experience in prevention or the related fields of health, social science, marketing, communication, or education Bachelors OR
- Have a master's degree with two (2) years of work experience in prevention administration or administration in the related fields of health, social sciences, marketing, communication, or education.
