Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and the facility, which may include electrical, HVAC, and construction repairs, painting, fixture repairs, and general building maintenance.
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance on machines, including adjustments, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Inspect and diagnose machinery and equipment malfunctions, making necessary repairs to maintain operational efficiency.
- Assemble and install new machinery and equipment.
- Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Maintain regular communication with the supervisor regarding maintenance supply needs, ensuring a well-stocked inventory.
- Complete production line checklists at the beginning of each workday and as required.
- Uphold housekeeping standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in all work areas.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and other safety rules and practices.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be physically mobile and capable of navigating throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Proficient in reading documents and using equipment.
- Good hearing to facilitate effective communication with internal and external contacts.
- Capability to climb, stoop, or kneel to perform routine tasks.
- Able to grip and handle objects effectively.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, which may include cold, heat, wet, humid, draft, fumes, or a combination thereof.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Electrical/mechanical trade school certification is desirable.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Two years of experience in general mechanical repair, with a focus on machine maintenance, is highly valued. We will consider an equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
