Job Description
This position is responsible for all client services such as patient’s inquiry and specific attorney, insurance, doctor inquiries; receiving and processing patient’s payments via credit card. This position covers the front reception area, main telephone line, scanning and processing specific insurance request and/or distribute correspondence to the appropriate Dept.; receive, log and follow up with patient concerns such as billing inquiries; manage correspondence received via lockbox, physical address, faxes, intercompany; manage Department’s office supply inventory; scanning of daily cash and reconciliation document to day folder. This position must have the ability to verify insurance coverage, able to update/select insurance carrier and demand a bill as soon as received from patient/guarantor.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibility & Duties:
- Manage the front reception area, main telephone line with courtesy and professionalism
- Response promptly to client’s inquiries (patient, attorney, insurance, doctor, hospital, intra dept)
- Timely scanning of daily cash reconciliation documents including, but not limited to cash posting files, explanation of benefits, electronic remittance advice, checks, credit cards, daily reconciliation reports, cash journals, any cash posting relating documents
- Timely scanning, responsiveness and documentation of correspondence received via lockbox, faxes, physical address, intercompany, intra dept.
- Manage the Department’s office supply inventory
- Communicate and handle all inquiries with courtesy, professionalism
- Upon receipt from patient, representative is responsible to verify, update/select insurance carrier based on verification and demand a bill.
- Manage call logs in a timely manner: patient, doctor, attorney, patient’s concern/issues, patient’s billing request, Identity theft status, etc
- Process patient credit card payments.
- Other duties as assigned

The posted pay scale represents the range the Company reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position.
