We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Infant/Toddler Head Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a deep understanding of child development, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and education for our youngest learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in the planning and implementation of daily activities and lessons that promote physical, mental, and social development.
- Support the creation of a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions between activities.
- Facilitate activities that support children's emotional and social development, encouraging positive interactions and behaviors.
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of classroom activities, ensuring the learning environment is clean, safe, and inviting.
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers and parents, providing updates on children's progress and behavior.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines, as well as school policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus. or a valid Level 1 or higher NY State Teaching Assistant certification or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, taking direction from lead teachers and providing support as needed.
- 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
