Afternoon Daycare Assistant

Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. As a Daycare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood education, behavior management, and childhood development.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children
- Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure their safety
- Provide basic care such as feeding, diapering, and assisting with toileting
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment
- Assist with behavior management strategies and promote positive social interactions
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures

Skills:
- Knowledge of preschool and early childhood education principles
- Experience in babysitting or caregiving roles
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Basic first aid knowledge
- Understanding of childhood development milestones
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills for classroom management
