GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This role works in a fast-paced environment that receives prehospital reports from EMS agencies coming into AHN hospitals and other hospital facilities within the area. This position also works closely with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances. Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities. (20%)
- Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities. (15%)
- Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center. (25%)
- Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated. (15%)
- Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility. (25%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- EMT or EMT-P or obtain within 2 years of hire.
- CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.
Preferred
- Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center
- Two years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications center
