Communications Specialist
This position will be responsible for supporting the communication efforts for the Office of Human Resources; assisting in development of graphics and language for various platforms, build audience engagement and awareness of OHR; optimizing copy for various audiences; and supporting University and project identity and branding while ensuring consistent messaging. Duties include:
- Provides routine content and marketing development for web and print media including, but not limited to, writing, editing, research, web graphics and templates, social media, signs and banners, reports, templates, and other print collateral.
- Supports communications team in the creation of a variety of presentations, including templates and graphics, compiling and standardizing slides, and ensuring design and branding consistency.
- Supports marketing team in producing and editing a diverse set of high-quality marketing materials, including newsletters, flyers, brochures, and course materials.
- Maintains and updates applicable databases in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supports events and promotions, including vendor contact, interfacing with clients and designers as needed, developing materials, and milestone deliverables.
- Works collaboratively and effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs), creative teams, and University departments to ensure high-quality content is delivered. Modifies messaging according to the target audience, communication goals, and communication channels employed.
Bachelor's degree is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
