PR & INFLUENCER MARKETING MANAGER | JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the PR & Influencer Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the brand's growth by elevating brand equity and awareness of Magnolia business entities through public relations and Influencer Marketing. This role provides support to the Director of Communications by developing and managing key print/online editorial relationships as well as the development, management and execution of all press and Influencer Marketing strategies to drive awareness, consideration, and demand for Magnolia products. This position works from Magnolia headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Communications and may have supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold Magnolia's manifesto and values
Cultivate and manage key media, editorial and Influencer rolodexes
Manage day-to-day incoming PR requests for both local and national media
Originate, propose and execute dynamic pitching strategy for influencer initiatives of the brand
Pitch in-depth feature stories in strategic press outlets across key influencer initiatives
Plan, manage, and execute earned media campaigns for seasonal retail product launches and key influencer moments
Research and vet media opportunities and provide communication support for engagements
Provide support on any needed communications materials, including press releases, pitches, talking points, and Influencer Marketing materials
Proactively originate Influencer Marketing plans and initiatives
Support and implement PR/Influencer brand events, from logistics and planning to execution
Oversee influencer identification, approvals, contract negotiations and execution of Influencer Marketing initiatives
Support team in analyzing, reporting and sharing internally digital best practices as it relates to Influencer Marketing content
Define and manage goals and KPIs for Influencer Marketing
Implement comprehensive influencer toolkits including but not limited to Influencer and Partner Guidelines, Briefs, Tools/Collateral, Mailers
Collaborate with marketing and digital partners to ensure media boosting support for content scaling
Partner with performance marketing to support affiliate marketing execution
Track, report, and grow PR/Influencer marketing performance to deliver on brand KPIs
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Hard skills: Proven track record of PR excellence evidenced by relevant industry contacts across influencer and editorial channels; Influencer campaign execution experience in relevant category
Soft skills: Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and often-changing environment; High level of professionalism with ability to hold critical information confidentially; Creative problem-solver with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Education: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in communications or public relations preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required
History of managing earned media for established dynamic brands and excellent relationships with journalists and Influencers a priority
