THE INSTITUTION

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (https://icahn.mssm.edu/) is a top ranking school among Basic and Clinical Science (2022 Blue Ridge NIH Rankings) comprising 44 research, educational, and clinical institutes, 36 academic departments, more than 300 research labs, more than 7,000 faculty (full-time, part-time, and voluntary), and 27 faculty members elected to the National Academy of Medicine and/or the National Academy of Sciences. The Liver Cancer Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is situated in New York City.  It is structured as a multidisciplinary group comprising of hepatologists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, genetics and genomics experts and basic scientists exploring novel models of disease, mechanisms of inflammation and signaling, fibrosis and gene therapy. The Mount Sinai Liver Cancer Program has achieved remarkable success, including more than 270 publications, with international leadership of 5 clinical trials and around 10 active clinical trials on HCC and cholangiocarcinoma.
