Overview
This role is primarily responsible for post-closing and audit activities across all aspects of a multi-market title agency, from beginning-to-end file auditing to policy issuance and closing the file. This role is responsible for reviewing closing documents for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. The Post Closer follows up with title commitment requirements and ensures processes are followed according to policy and procedures. The position involves engagement with numerous parties, including insurance underwriters, attorneys, settlement agents, and homebuilder counterparts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains a daily updated settlement calendar.
- Receives files from Title Agent, and reviews lender documents and Settlement Statement for title insurance requirements and fees
- Verifies that all monies have been received and applied accordingly
- Performs audit of the entire closing file from beginning to end to ensure compliance with all requirements of title commitment and company policies including title search and examination, surveys, file accounting and reconciliation.
- Works directly with the Title Agent to correct any file issues found during the audit process
- Prepares and sends title insurance policies to owners and lenders, as applicable
- Follows up on Certificates of Satisfaction, Releases of Judgment and/or other documents as outlined in the requirements of the Title Commitment
- Maintains relationships with internal Title Agents as well as external partners including vendors, closing agents/attorneys, homebuilders, and underwriters.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in the title/settlement/mortgage or other related industry
