Plumbing Drafter/Designer

Summary:

You'll play a vital role in creating technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building regulations. With a focus on collaboration and precision, you'll contribute to the success of diverse projects.

Description:

• Leverage your expertise to create precise technical drawings, adhering to specifications and calculations for various plumbing projects.
• Utilize CAD like Revit and Navisworks to prepare both preliminary sketches and detailed work, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations to support the plumbing design process.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team, preparing, reviewing, and refining designs to meet project requirements.
• Verify final designs for compliance and clashes with all relevant building codes and regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
• Proactively identify and communicate potential design challenges to the rest of the team, contributing to timely and effective problem-solving.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years Revit or Navisworks experience for plumbing design and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing principles, materials, and installation techniques.
• Associates degree, technical certification or equivalent professional experience
• Piping layout and plumbing code knowledge
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with architects, engineers, and fellow team members.
