DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, lab/medical, gas/vacuum, specialized waste systems, and performance-spec fire protection in all sizes of commercial buildings with direction from senior staff
- Perform pressure loss, pump head, roof drain, fixture unit, water heater, and all other necessary calculations to support system design
- Follow direction from senior staff, follow design standards, and coordinate work efforts with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Work with project managers to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Attend design meetings
- Assist in construction site visits and field surveys to verify code compliance, construction progress, and as-built conditions
- Record meeting minutes and create site observation reports
- Proficient in design, and production of construction documents (plans, and calculations for a variety of building projects, specifications, and cost estimates, preferred)
- Construction administration experience (RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and change order reviews, preferred)
- Must have the ability to interact and perform as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in commercial, education, laboratory, and healthcare design, preferred
- Working knowledge of building and plumbing codes, including NFPA standards
- Detailed knowledge of fixtures and equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independently
- Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) Certification, preferred
- Working Knowledge in MS Office 10 Pro (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote)
- Must be proficient in Revit, and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of BIM Collaborate Pro (formerly BIM 360), preferred
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, preferred
- Working knowledge in the use of standard office equipment (e.g., copiers, business, and telephone systems)
- Associates Degree, preferred
- Technical program degree in Mechanical Design, preferred
- 2+ years of recent experience in plumbing design for commercial structures with an A/E or MEP firm, preferred
- Must be able to traverse difficult terrain at construction sites with no assistance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Monday - 8:00AM to 5:30PM
- Tuesday - Thursday - 7:30AM to 5:30PM
- Friday - 7:30AM to 12:00PM
