Children's Therapy Center is looking for a Play & Learn Coordinator to oversee the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (KPL) Program and Groups hosted by Children's Therapy Center. The Play & Learn Coordinator will report to the Center Program Director. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups are often held in partnership with the Community Partner-Facilities. This work is grant funded and subject to funding availability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Attend and provide facilitation and oversight for all Play and Learn groups to meet program requirements.
- Ensure the scope and content of groups meet the guidelines and structure of the funding source.
- Plan and collaborate outcome-based group learning and activity time, creative play time and circle time for group participants.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Manager to identification and onboard volunteers to support groups and participants as needed.
- Safeguard health standards and ensure infection prevention measures are in place for set-up, during groups, and in clean-up practices.
- Provide educational resources and supports for group topics and activities; offer referrals to community and/or additional resources when requested
Program Management
- Document weekly activities related to the program and grant work
- Request materials and supports to meet program requirements
- Managing volunteers to facilitate and support KPL Groups, including ensuring the ongoing training of volunteers
Evaluation and Reporting
- Collect and compile information and data to satisfy funding requirements and information requested by the grant contract
- Partner with accounting to ensure reconciliation of funds spent
- Provide an annual program summary and evaluation of services
Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrable experience and other qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children 0-5 years old and their families.
- Reliable, personal transportation with proof of current insurance.
- Computer proficiency: Word, Excel, Publisher, other applications.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment: copy, fax, voice mail etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Skills including professionalism, organization, analysis, and presentation.
- Able to speak before small and large groups: answer questions and give program information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Other Information
This role is part time. Frequent travel with reliable personal transportation is required. (For Current CTC Staff) This role may be held in combined with another role. Compensation may differ by role if worked in combination with another role

Schedule:
Work is conducted in-person, onsite and in-community; expected at 12-15 hours per week
- Current Play & Learn Group Schedule*: Monday 1:30pm-4:00pm in Maple Valley site; Tuesday 11:00am-1:30pm at JJ Smith Elementary in Enumclaw; Wednesday 1:30pm-4:00pm in Burien. Travel is paid in cases where the Play & Learn site differs from the assigned home-office site.
*Play & Learn group schedule is subject to change based on community needs, season and space availability.
- Up to 4 additional hours may be spent as needed collecting, analyzing and reporting data, preparing materials, training and coordinating volunteer coverage and support.
Compensation & Benefits:
Children's Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is $22.85-35.70 per hour dependent on related experience and education.
