Plant Manager Search- Upstate, New York- Up to Mid $100k’s Our client is an industry leading food manufacturing organization that has enjoyed year-over-year growth both organically as well as through acquisition. They have a national manufacturing footprint, providing products to some of the largest foodservice and private label companies in the world. They have asked us to help identify a hands-on Plant Manager to run their east coast facility based in the upstate NY area. This leader will strive to obtain and maintain operational excellence, while driving a safety culture, establishing metrics, and developing team members to reach their potential. They are committed to hiring the best of the best and have not to disqualify candidates due to compensation. Targeted total compensation package will depend on experience but can range into the mid 100K's range (lucrative base + bonus). They are open to a strong operations or production manager ready to lead their own facility. This is a succession planning hire; and are looking for someone capable of promotion within the first 24-36 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following: • Drive strategic decisions that will help the company achieve its revenue and profitability goals. • Manage plant operations to ensure all safety, quality, production, and profitability goals are met. • Identify improvement initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts, focusing on process improvements, efficiency, and organizational capability. • Achieve forecasted financial and cost performance targets and operating metrics. • Make sure the plant is in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local policies including, USDA, FDA, FSMA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations along with any programs that support SQF. • Assist with creating operating budgets and capital budgets for the plant operations. • Develop short- and long-term cost containments and reduction strategies. • Set up and maintain efficient production processes, including written SOP’s, to attain plant efficiency goals. • Provide leadership throughout the plant, promoting a positive work environment. Oversee staffing strategy to ensure competent personnel coverage and training is completed while maintaining the team’s motivation to accomplish all manufacturing and warehousing plans and objectives. • Actively engage employees by fostering an environment of learning and continuous improvement. Properly schedule personnel to ensure production schedules are met in a cost-effective manner. • My client is open to considering current food/beverage Superintendent, Operations or Production Managers ready to lead their own operation!
