LinQuest is seeking a Space Force concepts development subject matter expert to support the HQ Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) at Peterson Space Force Base, CO.
An active TS//SCI clearance is REQUIRED.
Candidates will provide support to SpOC Operations. You will support analysis of USSF component and contingency plans, planning guidance, combatant command, other Service and allied planning publications, space policy, strategy, and doctrine; and process execution, development, analysis, and maintenance of USSF component and contingency plans, policy, and guidance. The work environment is collaborative and dynamic between team members, government civilians and joint warfighters.
A strong candidate has deep experience with space capability analysis and planning. In this position, you will:
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop SpOC level support and/or base plans aligned to combatant command (CCMD) operations plans (OPLANs).
- Conduct risk/trade-off analysis of CCMD plans to provide strategic, operational, and tactical planning options for SpOC.
- Analyze CCMD planning documents against design and deployment documents pertaining to current and future assets, systems, capabilities, and tactics, techniques and procedures, to provide recommendation for USSF support/base plans and COOP.
- Support SpOC participation in meetings, discussions, and development of CCMD OPLANs, concept of operations (CONPLANs), CCMD campaign plans (CCPs), CCP annexes, operations orders (OPORDs), and posture plans.
- Prepare briefings, point papers, and other products related to CCMD planning activities including impacts to the USSF, and related SpOC support/base plan development, for presentation to, or use by SpOC leadership.
- Analyze plans and planning activities from other Services and allies for impacts and alignment to USSF and SpOC planning.
- Maintain all draft versions, staff packages, comments, and related materials for CCMD and SpOC planning documents on the designated SpOC server or SharePoint site.
- Develop and maintain a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) for each planning publication.
- Staff planning publications using Task Management Tool (TMT) in accordance with SpOC staffing guidance, work with SMEs to resolve comments, and coordinate approval/signature of new or updated publications.

Required Skills/Experience:
- An active TS//SCI clearance is required for this position.
- PrevioUS Space planning experience at HHQ level (e.g. MAJCOM, combatant command, Department of the Air Force Staff) highly desired.
- Current/relevant space/joint space operations knowledge and background
- Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations.
- Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level.
- Ability to brief/interactive with senior (GO/FLAG) level officer and senior civilians.
- Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- BA/BS desired; can substitute 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Developing and writing joint services and combined plans.
- Executing planning process based on defense guidance, and joint services organization policies, directives, and procedures.
- Developing assumptions upon which the planning process is constrained.
- Coordinating plans between staff agencies to ensure a coherent planning effort.
- Analyzing impact of planning and programming decisions on war-fighting capabilities.
Compensation:
- Starting salary ranges from $95,000 to $111,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
