Physician Liaison

We are currently searching for an experienced Physician Liaison to join our Marketing team on a part time basis (20 hours/week). The person in this role will represent Austin Gastro in the medical community and more specifically will:

• Deliver pre-determined messages to referring physicians, referral coordinators and practice managers
• Schedule and conduct lunch & learn meetings to educate referring staff and physicians on Austin Gastro service lines, physicians and locations
• Attend special events such as community health fairs, sporting events, educational programs and open houses
• Gather and record critical information about referring physician offices and provide weekly detailed call reports

We are seeking candidates with:

• Deep understanding of the Austin medical community
• A minimum of three years of experience calling on Primary Care and OB/GYN practices in Austin and the surrounding areas
• An outgoing personality and an ability to communicate effectively and connect and build relationships with physicians as well as front and back office staff
• An ability to listen to physician needs and uncover issues to help improve our service to their offices
• Ability to work some nights and weekends (5 or less evening or weekend events per year)
• Ability to travel extensively within the Austin and surrounding area
• Efficient time and territory management skills
