Position: Physical Security Specialist | Division: Facilities Mgmt & Security 
 
Work Days: Monday - Friday| Hours of Operation: 8:00am-5:00pm

Purpose of the Position:

Responsible for security and safety ofthe bank's customers, employees, visitors, contractors and assets for the maincampus and financial centers. Responsible to facilitate and support operationalrequirements for Physical Security for the bank.
Responsible for facilitating,prioritizing, coordinating, and implementing functions and projects whichsupport Physical Security.
Administer Physical Security/safetypolicies, standards, processes, and programs. Ensure effective implementationand maintenance of those processes and programs.
Provides Physical Security support for all businessoperations. Administers and supports maintenance of Physical Security systemsand assets. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of best practice access control procedures and policies. This will include facilitating the access control system process and maintaining the program. Able to provide best practice solutions within the bank. Collaboration with Property Management and Information Technology to maintain and resolve all issues pertaining to the access system. Continual audit of all badging activities to ensure compliance and adherence to bank policies for issuing and deactivating access control badges.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of surveillance/CCTV procedures and policies. Audit enterprise-wide CCTV/surveillance daily to insure functionality, operability, and reliability. Report and facilitate the resolution of any CCTV identified issues. Collaboration with Property Management and Information Technology to maintain and resolve all issues. Recommends changes or maintenance solutions when security cameras or related hardware require maintenance. Responsible for monthly inspections for proper placement of financial center cameras. Ensure efficient functionality of the system across the enterprise.
  • Respond to resolve all service tickets which are generated within BBN (main and financial center locations) to address maintenance and break-fix issues. This can include CCTV/surveillance, access systems, alarms/intrusion, gate access/code systems and all related hardware. Collaborate with security system contractors to resolve all issues rapidly and efficiently. Coordinates with external security company to ensure security alarm equipment is properly working at all facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain key control programs throughout the enterprise. Key control will include assessing current processes and protocols with the goal of improving upon and developing best practice key control across the enterprise. Advance and recommend solutions to maintain an up-to-date key control program for the bank.
  • Monthly Physical Security surveys, audits and assessments of all financial centers and the main campus. Make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of visitor management processes and programs. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure compliance and adherence to the program. Provide expertise in researching and procuring visitor management software and/or other viable solutions.
  • Support the development and implementation of business wide contractor vetting policies, procedures, and processes as it relates to the issuance/return of access control badges (life cycle). Upon implementation maintain those processes and policies. Track compliance and success of the program continually. Work collaboratively across the business to include relevant stakeholders in maintaining the program and advancing relevant procedures as it relates to contractors.
  • Support the review and implementation of all Physical Security processes within the bank and provide recommendations with best practice solutions.
  • Assists in maintaining Security Systems contact lists (bank alarm system). Coordinates with the stakeholders for the main campus and financial centers to keep lists updated.
  • Assists in the review of all security systems, policies, procedures, and training, to always ensure accuracy and current information is available. Recommends updates or changes to the VP, Property Management and Security Director.
  • Serves as the secondary point of contact for all bank robberies. Will assist in reviewing security monitoring footage and retrieving video as needed. With approval, can provide video surveillance images of robbery incidents for local authorities.
  • In collaboration with the VP, Property Management and Security, supports and assists with bank related security events and activities with all levels of local, county, state and military police and the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and Secret Service for BNB.
  • Assists with investigations around customers and employees relating to disturbances, complaints and other violations of policies and procedures, laws, regulations, etc.
  • In partnership with the VP, Property Management & Security resolve all security related incident and activity reports. Interaction with local, State and Federal authorities may be necessary.
  • Assists in the deployment, oversight and maintenance of security guards and provides Physical Security services for the bank.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual code locks updates including creating and developing a maintenance schedule. This can include gates, vaults, safes, and restricted areas. Implement and maintain across the main and financial centers footprint.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all bank policies and procedures and with all regulatory and governmental rules and regulations which affect safety and security at bank facilities.
  • Collaborates across other lines of business to maintain open and positive communications to ensure Physical Security operational needs are addressed. Report all issues for resolution to the Properties Management team.
  • Assists in annual personnel training on security policies and procedures, particularly robbery training.
  • Supports and makes recommendations for the overall security expense budget. Adhere to projected security related expenses within the budget.
  • Safely operate a company-owned vehicle, ensuring proper care and operation for the safe transportation of goods, tools, or team members, in accordance with both traffic regulations and company policies.
 
 

Competencies and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Physical Security System tools: incident reporting, access control, visitor management, surveillance/CCTV, and visitor management software programs.
  • Project Management specific to Physical Security systems/Physical Security, safety processes and programs.
  • Physical Security Assessments and Surveys. Physical Security Audits.
  • Strong Physical Security System Technical skills
  • Excellentoral and written communication skills

  • Customer Service oriented

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 4 year's experience as a Physical Security Specialist- (emphasis on Physical Security processes/programs and security systems).
  • 4 year's experience in Physical Security
  • 3 year's experience with Physical Security systems (access control, intrusion, CCTV/surveillance, visitor management software, key control, and incident reporting tools and software etc.)
  • 2year's Physical Security project management experience
  • PCliterate in Microsoft tools

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (emphasis on Security, Criminal Justice, Criminology or Homeland Security)
  • Bachelor'sDegree (preferred)

Other Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years Physical Security Specialist experience
  • ASIS PSP certification (Physical Security Professional)
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Successfully pass an annual review by the Bank of their driving record (the results of such annual review must be acceptable to the Bank in its sole discretion).

Other Requirements:

  • This position is primarily located at the Main Campus of Broadway Bank but will be required to travel to all financial centers of Broadway Bank utilizing a company vehicle.
  • Workingnights, weekends, and holidays might be required as needed.
