General Summary

As Lead Platform Owner, Modern Device Platforms, you will play a pivotal role to help us manage and optimize our device and application management solutions under the Digital Workplace service domain within the IT organization.  The role will require strong emphasis on driving superior customer experience with everything we do. Also, this role is tasked with driving maturity on our journey along Modern Device management toward an AAD Intune-managed environment. The services in scope span the entire Campbell’s enterprise (all geographies, all sites, all end users) and include the following:

  • Image Management – platform lead related to Windows-OS-based end user workstations which includes – but is not limited to – creating and maintaining base SCCM image(s), Autopilot profile process contributor, Intune profiles and compliance policies, etc.

  • Software Distribution – ability to provision (push/pull) end user software applications to end points, leveraging software provisioning tool(s) (e.g. SCCM) and/or app store (e.g. Software Center) means.

  • Patch Management– Deploying monthly and out-of-band patches to secure our OS and installed applications. Applying firmware and/or software updates to end user devices to improve functionality.

  • Vulnerability Remediation – Experience with RBVM (Risk-based vulnerability management) which focuses on prioritizing vulnerability remediation activities based on the risk posed to the organization.

  • Mobility Device Management – Management of all mobile devices (eg. mobile phones, tablets, etc.), whether company-provisioned or BYOD, which includes – but is not limited to – updating corporate standards, procurement, disposal, asset tracking, refresh, policy compliance, etc.

  • Digital Experience Management – contributor of DEM (Digital Experience Management) strategy and technology for end point management and self-healing that proactively detects and can even remediate issues across a spectrum of IT, including hardware, network, OS, applications and more. Experience with Nexthink preferred.

  • Privilege Management – Using BeyondTrust Privilege Manager to create application elevation and restriction policies, provision local administrator rights, and deploy new policies.

  • Application Packaging – Create, test, and deploy SCCM and Intune application packages for win32 apps, web apps, and store apps. Experience with using scripting technologies like Powershell and AppDeploy Toolkit to install and detect application installations.

  • Machine Virtualization - Strong understanding in implementing and maintaining fundamental Azure resources like VNETs, Subnets, Route Tables, VMs, Storage Accounts, Public/Private Endpoints, etc. Strong understanding of Identity Access Management and App Registration

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of services under Modern Device Platforms and provide guidance to the team to ensure achievement of departmental objectives and optimal service levels. (~20% time allocation)

  • Engage with key stakeholder teams including IT leadership, service partners, vendors, customer groups, industry leaders, etc. as necessary to understand business requirements, trends, changes, gain agreement, work through issues, and report on progress. (~15% time allocation)

  • Help address escalations and issues in a quality and timely manner that arise across the Modern Device Platforms service space including instances with service partners, vendors, and user base. (~20% time allocation)

  • Build/Maintain sandbox environments (physical and virtual) to test aspects related to the Modern Device Platforms service space; offer counsel and guidance to field techs on tools and means of remediation in support of end users. (~10% time allocation)

  • Maintain subject matter expertise in service responsibility space including industry and technology trends to refine and drive ongoing strategy in Modern Device Platforms at Campbell’s. (~25% time allocation)

  • Other/Additional duties as assigned/required. (~10% time allocation)

Job Complexity / Scope

  • This role and its organization will be responsible for all IT end user devices across the entire Campbell’s corporation (~7K+ users) including employees, interns, contractors, all geographies (US, Canada, LATAM) and sites (Corporate, Plant, Warehouse, etc), excluding Plant-specific devices.

  • The organization under this role will have a critical role in all Campbell’s end user device care and feeding (eg. patching of equipment and software and assimilation into Campbell’s network).

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or IT related field. 

  • Years of relevant experience: 

    • 5+ years of experience in the Modern Device Platforms services arena or related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in Intune and SCCM administration and support.

    • 2+ years of experience as an IT Lead.

    • 2+ years working with cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs.

  • Experience in strategy, innovation, and transformation.

  • Experience as a catalyst of organizational change.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of Digital Experience Management concepts, vendors in the space, and ideally hands-on usage of a DEM toolset.

  • Expert knowledge of Autopilot in Intune, SCCM and Intune application packaging including win32 apps, Intune profiles and policies, management of phones and tablets via Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, AD Group Policy, AAD, reporting and metrics gathering.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$105,000-$172,200

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
