Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of a safe and effective medication use system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pyxis Management: Refilling, inventory management and auditing
- Medication Compounding: Hazardous, Non-Sterile and Sterile compounding
- Packaging medications: Tablet and oral syringe unit dose packaging.
Requirements:
- Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required
- Current State of Connecticut Pharmacy Technician or Intern Registration required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Hazardous and/or IV compounding experience preferred
WORK SCHEDULE: M-F 8:30a-5p; 9:30a-6p and 11:30a-8p shifts
Sat/Sun 6:30a-1p shifts
32 hour Full time position: Minimum one weekend every 4 weeks; two holidays/year
