Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into computer systems accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines in medication handling and storage
- Perform medication administration tasks such as infusing medications and administering inhalers
Skills:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Experience working in an acute care or critical care setting preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and prescription processing
